"I am proud to have a long association with Reunion Blues that goes all the way back to 1987, when I got my first RB stick bag. I've traveled the world for more than 3 decades with sticks and cymbals safely protected by Reunion Blues. You don't get better than that."

Originally from Northamptonshire, England Terl started drumming aged 8, a passion which he largely contributes to his late father.

He writes, “Music was huge for my Dad and I have many great memories of the ways in which he inspired me. One time, we pulled up in the car outside school with the music on loud and then, on the track, there was this beautiful drum fill. I remember the immense pleasure on his face as he rewound the tape several times whilst we both mimicked the drumming with imaginary drumsticks, grinning from ear to ear. Moments like that change everything. Incidentally, the drummer was Hughie Flint, on the 1971 McGuinness Flint track ‘When I’m Alone With You’.”
By 12, Terl sensed his destiny and at 16 he left school to join a band. Now, with a career spanning more than four decades, he currently holds the seat as drummer for the Martin Barre Band. Martin is best known for his longtime role as lead guitarist of British rock band Jethro Tull.

Terl’s touring, band and recording credits include John Paul Jones (Thunderthief/world tours), Peter Murphy (Cuts You Up/3 albums/world tours), Barbara Dickson (3 albums/tours), Faith Hill (TV/European tours), Elizabeth McGovern (3 albums/TV/Montreux Jazz festival), Arthur Brown (recording), Iona (5 albums/world tours), Peter Gabriel (sessions), Maddy Prior (4 albums) and many others. Terl also does sessions from his studio based in Sussex, UK and has written music for the BBC, Netflix, Channel 4, Discovery, National Geographic and has a great many recordings released under his own name. Terl is married to Jules and they have 6 children.

New solo album entitled 'Jargon' in the works for 2025. The sound and lyrical content is broad. 'JARGON' is thoughtful, fun, rocky at times, and draws on a wide and diverse range of influences. It will also feature some incredible musician friends and special guests, including — Joanne Hogg (solo recording artist/songwriter), Elizabeth McGovern (singer/songwriter/actress), Ben Reed (Frank Ocean, Peter Gabriel), Martin Barre (artist/guitarist Jethro Tull), Steve Taylor (artist/songwriter/producer/film maker), Phil Madeira (artist/producer, Emmylou Harris), Alex Hart (artist/singer/songwriter Seth Lakeman), Troy Donockley (Nightwish, Auri), Rob Watson (Daniel Amos, Body & Soul), Noel Robinson (award-winning UK gospel artist), Marty Dieckmeyer (Daniel Amos), and and  others still to be announced.

Stay tuned ...
