"When my guitar is in my Reunion Blues gig bag I’m just not worried anymore about what could happen to it. It’s safe! I’ve been touring all over the world in cars, vans, trains, planes ... you name it. I trust this case completely. It’s so well made, the inside is so beautiful, so is the outside. I love the pockets (I use the bigger one to store my laptop as well and I’m never worried) and when you store your instrument inside, it feels like it’s going to truly take care of it!"
From an early age, it was clear that the only path for Simone Amodeo’s life would be that of a musician. He started playing piano and guitar at the Conservatory of Genoa - Italy at the age of 10. Through his early studies, he built a strong passion for music in a city where music is unfortunately not very well respected. He loved the blues, soul, funk, rock’n’roll, jazz, country, and gospel music that he was hearing and they laid the multi-faceted foundation for his future artistic pursuits.
At 16 he started playing in local clubs in his hometown of Genoa, Italy with his American style southern rock/blues projects, working countless days and nights toward his dream of touring the world as a professional musician. He kept believing that something was going to happen if he nurtured the dream with dedication and hard work.
That hard work and passion paid off! Simone’s first high profile touring and recording opportunities came with Italian progressive-rock composer and bass player Fabio Zuffanti and the Italian reggae band Eazy Skankers. With those artists, he began to tour outside of his hometown and began learning the craft of the recording studio.
In 2016 he joined the band of legendary Black Uhuru singer, Mykal Rose (who won the very first Grammy Award in the history of reggae music) for his European tours. Simone still often works with Michael Rose when he tours in Europe.
In 2018, Simone became the full time guitarist of the world renowned New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble. He has done multiple tours with the band all over the world as well as recording guitars on their latest album, “Break Thru”. Simone now splits his time touring with New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble as well as being an in- demand freelance touring guitarist, session musician and teacher.
