“I’ve dragged a lot of bass guitars through a lot of miles around the world. Nothing holds up like Reunion Blues Gig Bags. In fact, after using these bags for almost 15 years, I have not had a single problem at all. If my bass is in that gig bag, I sleep better at night.”
Kevin Scott is widely regarded as one of the most fearless and distinctive bass voices of his generation. Known for his visceral tone, explosive improvisation, and genre-defying musical language, Scott has built a reputation as a bassist who can reshape the sound of any ensemble he enters, live or in the studio.
He currently holds down the low end with Gov’t Mule alongside Warren Haynes, and has collaborated with visionary artists including Wayne Krantz, John McLaughlin, Jimmy Herring, Donny McCaslin, Col Bruce Hampton, Wale, Bernard Purdie, Akon, Marcus King and FORQ. Scott is also a founding member of the boundary-pushing multimedia duo Wednesday Night Titans with drummer/programmer Zach Danziger, and the Kevin Scott Trio with legendary drummer Matt Chamberlain and visionary guitarist, Ryan Clackner.
Raised musically in Atlanta and forged through years in New York City and New Orleans, Scott developed a fiercely adaptable approach to the bass that moves effortlessly between jazz, rock, experimental music, funk, and improvisation. Now based in Nashville, his playing is celebrated for its raw power, immediacy, and unmistakable identity making him one of the most compelling bassists on the modern scene.
