Cheikh Ndoye is an internationally active bassist, composer, and bandleader known for blending African-rooted music with contemporary jazz influences. Originally from Senegal and now based in the Washington, DC area, he has performed and recorded with artists including Randy Brecker, Mike Stern, Dave Weckl, Lao Tizer, Karen Briggs, Raul Pineda, Baaba Maal and many more. 

As the leader of The Genetic Tones, Cheikh brings together global rhythms, modern improvisation, and original compositions through a unique musical voice centered around both electric and traditional-inspired bass instruments. He has been featured multiple times in Bass Musician Magazine and continues to perform internationally while collaborating with artists across jazz, world music, and fusion scenes.
