"I fell in love with the Continental Voyager banjo case the first time I held one in my hands! I love how light it is and it’s still extremely protective! I’m not afraid to travel with my banjo in this case rather than a traditional hard shell case! It’s awesome!"
Anthony is an impressive young banjo player from a little town in central Mississippi called Zama. His biggest music influences include Jens Krüger, Larry Wallace, Bill Emerson, Don Reno, Tony Rice, and Jesse McReynolds.
He started playing mandolin at age 11 but soon progressed to the guitar and banjo by age 13. In 2015 Anthony went on to play banjo with a local band called Tyler Carroll and Pineridge for 3 years until he got offered a job with a family bluegrass band called Williamson Branch. Anthony has since been the banjo player of Williamson Branch.
During this time Anthony won 1st place at the 2015 Mississippi State Bluegrass Championships for Flatpicking Guitar and Banjo and also won 2nd place with mandolin. Additionally he was voted 2017 and 2018 Magnolia State Bluegrass Association Banjo Player of the Year and nominated for the same award for 2019. Anthony has also placed 1st in the 2021 Alabama State Banjo Championship.
With a new album entitled “Time To Pick” that includes original compositions as well as many favorites, you can find his music available on Apple Music, Spotify, and anywhere else you can discover music online.
With a strong right hand and creative melodic style, Anthony has a unique take on the banjo!
