Conquering Dystopia Guitarist Keith Merrow Joins the Reunion Blues Artist Family

Instrument case and gig bag maker Reunion Blues officially welcomes guitarist Keith Merrow to their growing artist family. A blistering excitement enveloped the guitar community when guitarist Keith Merrow, Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis, Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster, and The Faceless drummer Alex Rudinger began collaborating on an instrumental tech-metal album. The supergroup’s self titled debut album ‘Conquering Dystopia’ was released March of 2014 to worldwide acclaim from critics and the public.

Keith Merrow hails from Portland OR, and is a studio guitar player, songwriter, producer, engineer, gear demonstrator, and teacher. His style of guitar playing is a unique blend of traditional metal with a dash of obscurity. Keith has a sound that is original and heartfelt while remaining brutal and true to his traditional metal roots. Once a reclusive hobbyist, Keith was convinced by his close friends and family to share his music with the world. Through YouTube and social media outlets, his music has now been heard by millions of people since 2008.

Between 2009 and 2012 Keith released a self-produced EP, two full-length instrumental solo albums, and a traditional Death Metal album. The collaboration with guitarist, Gord Olson, is entitled "Demisery", and is a tribute to the great Death Metal bands that influenced Keith and Gord's playing at a young age. Since the forming of Conquering Dystopia, Keith continues work on a second Demisery album and another solo release.

"Reunion Blues Gig Bags sent me this really awesome leather gig bag that holds 2 guitars. I’ve had a handful of gig bags over the years, and none of them really seemed like anything special. But this one is easily the highest quality gig bag I’ve seen." - Keith Merrow
