A native of St. Louis Missouri, Alex Evans credits his earliest childhood experiences playing alongside his brothers, sister and father in the family's group "The Evans Gospel Singers", as the foundation that set his dreams in motion. From the group's first recording at age eight, Alex was holding down the bass and background vocals demonstrating an aptitude and talent for the bass well beyond his years. Touring the St. Louis circuit with this group he began to garnish much attention. The calls to perform with various Gospel groups and choirs began. By the age of fifteen, Alex was in demand for his savory bass grooves and soulful expression. His future was cast.

He holds the bass chair at the City Of Refuge where Bishop Noel Jones is Pastor.
