Daniel Terence Harper graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in music performance in 2009, where he studied under the direction of Professor William Fielder.

After graduating from Rutgers, Terence relocated to Atlanta, GA where he teaches both privately and publicly. Terence Harper continues to freelance and performs constantly throughout the country. Currently, Mr. Harper performs weekly at the premier Jazz club of Atlanta, Churchill Grounds. Daniel Terence Harper is also currently studying theory and composition with his Father Danny Harper, who is a nationally known and respected music educator at Miles College and also composer and arranger for The Harper Brothers group on Verve record label. Terence has appeared on numerous radio stations in Atlanta including WCLK and WRFG of Atlanta.

Terence has performed and recorded with many nationally known recording artists including Lyfe Jennings, Eric Roberson, Keith Sweat, Ginuwine, Tip T.I. Harris, Johnny Gill, Musiq Soulchild, Khalil Fong, Phil Lam and many more.

In the spring of 2014, Terence was selected to play trumpet in the HBO Movie Bessie, starring Queen Latifah and Monique. Since then, Harper has performed and acted in over four movies including the major motion film, The Nice Guys, starring Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. Terence has played and shared the stage with Ojeda Penn, Wynton Marsalis, Nelson Ramos, Winard Harper, Philip Harper, and Marcus Roberts to name a few. Terence Harper's Jazz Quartet to appear in the Hit TV Show 'The Originals'.
