Nate Light is a professional acoustic upright and electric bass player based in Los Angeles, CA. He's one of a handful of working bassists in town who can truly cover any gig. Whether he's speed-picking his way through punk rock tunes, laying it down in a big band, or sawing away on low notes in the bass section of an orchestra, Nate is right at home.
Nate is currently the bassist for 222 Recording artist Matthew Morrison, perhaps best known for his leading role on the FOX television series "Glee". Nate also performs frequently with actress Megan Mullally's band, "Nancy & Beth", and is additionally a member of multi-platinum record producer JR Rotem's live band, The JR Rotem Trio.

In addition to performing over 200 live shows per year, Nate teaches private lessons out of his home studio and online via Skype (contact firstname.lastname@example.org). He is also a singer/songwriter and composer for film and television.
Nate studied music at Humboldt State University and later at the University of Miami Frost School of Music, where he received his Bachelor of Music Degree with a double major in Classical Performance and Jazz Studies on a full-tuition scholarship. He additionally holds a Master of Music degree with a major in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
